Lumo worked with Design Xpress, a printing company, to unlock their R&D potential, leading to significant tax savings on new product and process development.
R&D tax claims are not always about making a new product, or even improving an existing one. This change to their process involved new software. But this wasn’t a case of buying something ‘off the shelf.’ It was something new and needed to integrate with their existing process.
As the printing company built on this initial idea, we were able to work alongside them with costings and support. In addition, we could see a valid R&D tax claim emerging as the uncertainties around the project came to light.
